Leadership training for Government school Head Masters

Leadership training is provided over a one-year period, every month 2 hours session on leadership will be provided by Mr. Kannan (UN Political officer, Somalia). Along with this, every month HM’s are expected to solve a problem based on the case study method. Only a limited 55 HM’s across 10+ districts are selected for this training.

Kalvi40 conducted 15 days Summer camp for rural Government school students for 156 students across 10 districts. Even though this program was completely online 2 hours per day for 15 days. Four non-curriculum topics – Origami, storytelling, craft using waste and art were conducted by experts. Students completed went through this experience and had a great experience. We had great reviews from both parents and teachers.

Robotics & programming skill development for rural Govt. schools

Thanks to Kanchipuram CEO and DEO, Robotics training for Government school students was kicked off on 05th of March 2021.
18 Teachers and 26 students from 18 rural Government schools were hands picked for this project and were provided with 2 full-day workshops at K. M. Subbaraya Mudhaliyar Higher secondary school, Kanchipuram.

After this, every week online training is regularly conducted. Students and Teachers exhibit their learning through an online Youtube live show every week. Thanks to Bangalore-based QtPi Robotics to sponsor the kit and volunteering to train the full team.

Computer distribution for needy rural schools

In association with the Rotary Club of Coimbatore Saicity, Kalvi40 identified and understood the digital infrastructure need of schools across selected blocks in Kanchipuram, Tiruvannamalai, Chengalpattu, and Tiruvallur. In total 37 rural and remote village schools were identified and 100 desktop computers were distributed. Some of the schools (ex. in Jawathu hills) received their first desktop computer as part of this project.
